MorphLit Press curates nonfiction business, personal development, and memoir genres. We seek original ideas, expertise with creative nerve, and bold storytelling that’s rich in vulnerability. We look for universal resonance, books that help readers solve problems, and those that are contemplative and essay-driven. We aim to evoke emotions in readers that spark new ways of thinking and relating to the world around them.
Who We Publish
We seek right-fit authors who are natural leaders. The best work we do is with authors who come with a collaborative spirit, an open mind, and great enthusiasm to be the voice and messenger behind their book. We look for authors who are invested, curious, kind, transparent, and engaged. We especially love working with authors who inspire others with their excellence and remain humble and grounded.
What We Publish
We publish books that honor craft and tradition and push boundaries, challenge assumptions, and reveal something essential about the world, or about the self.
We’re currently acquiring work in the following categories:
Edgy Business & Thought Leadership
Books by founders, entrepreneurs, and subject-matter experts with something real to say. These books are built around strong opinions, clear frameworks, and original ideas that challenge how we think or work.
Creative Nonfiction
Narrative nonfiction that combines personal experience with cultural, professional, or philosophical insight. These books are often hard to label—and that’s the point. They’re for authors who want to explore real stories in layered, meaningful ways.
Memoir
Personal stories told with purpose. We’re looking for strong voices, well-structured narratives, and themes that speak to more than just the writer’s life. The story starts with you, but it should connect with others.
Self-Help / Personal Development
Practical, honest books that help people make real change. These are grounded in experience, not hype. We look for clear frameworks that address emotional, mental, physical, or existential growth.
Hybrid Works
These are books that combine categories like memoir with self-help, or personal narrative with professional insight. They don’t fit neatly into one genre, and that’s okay. They’re becoming more popular because, when skillfully crafted, they offer readers both a story and a framework to apply the learnings to their lives.
We do not currently publish fiction.
How to Submit
Our submission process is designed to honor both your work and your voice. Each project receives two layers of review: one from an experienced industry reader and one from our internal editorial team. If your book is a strong fit for our list and aligned with our publishing approach, we’ll offer next steps. If the manuscript isn’t quite ready, we’ll recommend a path forward.
To submit for consideration, please prepare the following:
A 1-page project summary (genre, word count, audience, and what sets it apart)
A chapter-by-chapter breakdown or synopsis
The first 50 pages of your manuscript (Word or PDF)
A short author bio
*Don’t be afraid to get creative here, we want to know who you are and get a sense of your personality and interests on top of what you do.
